Frequently Asked Questions

Is Chiropractic safe?

Absolutely, as once stated by the Royal New Zealand Commission of Inquiry on Chiropractic, chiropractic is “remarkably safe.” especially when compared to other forms of musculoskeletal care. There are around 300,000 visits to chiropractors in Australia every week including 30,000 of those for paediatric patients. More interestingly a recent government inquiry into the safety of Chiropractic paediatric care demonstrated no record of serious adverse event ever in Australia.

What is the noise that I heard during a manipulation?

The noise or ‘crack’ as it is often referred to is simply an exchange of gas across a joint surface. It is a common misconception that it is actually the bone causing the noise or that it can cause arthritis of a joint which is simply untrue.
